Bellmark Project
Posted 05/12/2016 08:59AM

We are again launching the Bellmark Project to continue with our efforts in supporting schools in Tohoku.

The Bellmark Foundation assigns points on everyday products. The points collected are sent to the Bellmark Foundation where they convert them into funds to buy school supplies. Each point is counted as 1 yen. Instead of using the collected points ourselves, Nishimachi will donate them to Bellmark Great East Japan Earthquake Support Project. In past, we raised 20,029 yen in 2012, 1,611 yen in 2013, 5,071 yen in 2014 and 2,697 yen in 2015.

Please support the drive by cutting out Bellmarks from everyday products such as: Japonica notebooks, which we use for Japanese classes and sometimes in math class, Meiji chocolates, Kewpie products, Kirin drinks, and Family Mart onigiri.

Starting from May 9th until June 6th, you will see the collection boxes in places such as the entrance of the Matsukata House, Kindergarten entrance, Library, and MS Commons.

We will announce the final count at the end-of-year school assembly.

Thank you for your support in filling up the collection boxes!
