One Yen Can Make a Difference!

Earthquake in Kumamoto and Cancer Research.

We are all aware of the loss of life and destruction caused by the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto. This year the money raised in the One Yen Can Make a Difference Campaign will be donated to help the victims of the earthquakes that occurred in Kumamoto on April 14th and 16th, 2016. In addition we will be donating to the worthy cause of cancer research.

The Collection Begins....

What: Collect ¥1 coins (and any spare change). NO FOREIGN COINS PLEASE (these jam the money counting machines in the bank).

When: Wednesday, May 11th - Monday, May 30th 2016.

Goal: To 'Make a Difference.'

If you have been anticipating this project and have quite a large collection at home already, feel free to "haul" it in at any time. We welcome ONLY Japanese yen coin deposits. However, biIl donations are acceptable in any currency. If you have an opportunity to extend this project into your work community, feel free to request extra collection bags. We would be more than happy to oblige.

Fifth Grade Students and Teachers thank you for your cooperation.
